Whilst you can walk into say Boots or Superdrugs and buy a ready made drivers first aid kit it is possible to use a clean plastic box (e.g. large ice cream tub) and buy the individual contents above for a fraction of the cost. That way you can build your own Hallmark School of Motoring First Aid Kit bit by bit. Please remember also having the Hallmark School of Motoring First Aid Kit in no way gives you any medical qualifications, so use with care and do not use outside your skill levels.

If you know what to do do it, if you don't know what to do ask, and if there is no-one to ask don't do it, wait for the experts to arrive.

It is also recommended to carry a suitable fire extinguisher for cars/vehicle use.

This list has been prepared with the help and guidance of T.L. Radley, a very experienced member of the British Red Cross and ADIRSO Member for many years. I attended a presentation by Terry at ADIRSO on the 28th October 2010 and he gave advice on First Aid and First on Scene best practice.

Should anyone be interested in taking their knowledge further Terry suggested they contact their local branch of the Red Cross where they can get information on courses ranging upwards from as little as two hours.

This sort of course is also available with the St.Johns Ambulance Brigade of course.

Many thanks also to all those who have helped in the construction of this site and the information they have provided, John Brown, Noreen Smith, Damian Heaney of HeaneyDriving in Leeds and the Dept for Transport for all the road signs and markings.
