0779 855 3932 ECO-DRIVING.
Eco-driving I teach as a normal part of the lessons. To me it just seems the sensible way to drive. The car will last longer, cost you less to maintain and run. It will be a more comfortable ride for you and your passengers. Harsh acceleration is anything but cool, you will be just burning off fuel and rubber the cost of which is coming straight out of your wallet/pocket.
The idea is simple enough, avoid the harsh acceleration, plan ahead and don't drive up to traffic queues or red lights.
Don't fill your boot up with junk, regularly remove what you do not need. These are just a couple of things you could do. Regularly check oil levels and tyre pressures. This last one could save you hundreds of punds a year on its own.
Do you have a roof rack or roof boot on the car you could take off, this could give you many more mpg every single day?
If you drive a company car who do you think the boss is going to keep if things get tight, the guys who costs a fortune as a driver or the one who saves them money? Some companies even pay their most efficient driver a monthly bonus as an incentive.
You may even have to think of CPC training since the new legislation has come in if you drive a company car.
Then there is the environment, something we all have to think about as it is in big trouble.
So yes I teach it but have done for years, just because it makes sense and more so today than ever before.
